Without the trace of a smile visible, Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chairman Steve Israel Monday named four eastern Pa. districts to the committee’s list of 2014 targets.
“Congressmen Dent, Fitzpatrick, Gerlach and Meehan have all shown their willingness to join the extremists in their party to dismantle Social Security to pay for tax breaks for millionaires,” he said, we assume, or something along those lines.
Pa. Republicans, meanwhile, announced that they are recruiting a candidate against Matt Cartwright (D-Lackawanna) and Mike Doyle (D-Allegheny), because they were, “bored with winning every seat.”

I am tired of having Philadelphia and Pittsburg always determining who wins Pennsylvania’s presidential electoral votes. Why can’t Pennsylvania establish our own electoral system so that the 49.9999% of Republican voters don’t feel disenfranchised, and get our votes counted too? For example, with our 23 electoral votes, 12 could have gone to Obama and 11 to Romney. At least that would console us somewhat for all the cheating that goes on in those cities.
