Senator Pat Toomey is piling on.

The Republican is hammering his Democratic opponent over the recent revelation that her claim to be the first in her family to graduate from college was false.

The thirty-second web spot features video and audio of McGinty talking about being the first of her parents’ kids to go to college despite the fact that her brother received both a bachelors and masters degree before McGinty started her higher education.

“If Katie McGinty won’t tell the truth about herself, how can we trust her about anything?,” the video asks in text at the conclusion.

The Toomey campaign also included the hashtag #ShadyKatie which has apparently unseated #PhillyMcGinty as the GOP’s go-to Twitter shorthand.
