PA-01: Harvie Releases Initial Campaign Video
Bucks County Commissioner and Democratic candidate for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 1st District Bob Harvie released his first campaign video on Wednesday, laying out the vision behind his campaign to oust Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick.
The campaign made the decision to release the video this week after Fitzpatrick, along with the other nine Keystone State GOP representatives, voted in favor of President Donald Trump’s ‘One, Big Beautiful Bill’ that could have negative effects on Bucks County and the Commonwealth.
“We need a Congressman who is going to be there and fight for us,” he says in the 90-second video. “We need a Congressman who is going to fight for those kids’ educations, we need a Congressman who is going to fight to protect Social Security and Medicare. We want a Congressman who is going to help people build the American Dream and continue living that American Dream. I’m running for Congress to be that person.”
The video highlights Harvie’s roots in the district, his years of public service, and his belief that a strong community depends on everyday people stepping up to lead.
“it’s been almost 10 years that Brian Fitzpatrick’s been in Congress,” he says. “Ten years is a long time, especially when you don’t have much to show for it. Ten years is long enough.”
Fitzpatrick won his fifth term in Washington with a 12-point victory against Ashley Ehasz in 2024.
