The Federal Election Commission has compiled and posted campaign finance reports from candidates around the country and the Keystone State.
In this article, we take a look at the 7th Congressional District in Pennsylvania – a seat currently held by Democrat Susan Wild.
Wild presently faces four challengers on the Republican side – Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Lehigh), Maria Montero, Kevin Dellicker and Allen Issa.
Mackenzie has represented the Lehigh Valley in Harrisburg since 2012. He topped the quartet by raising $135,023.19 in the third quarter that ran from July-September and has $127,169.82 on hand. Three PACs – Capital BluePAC, GoPAC Election Fund, Keystone Alliance PAC – have contributed $6,500, while also receiving $5,750 from candidate PACs, including $1,000 from his mother’s committee – Friends of Milou Mackenzie.
Individually, brother Scott and his mom each contributed $6,600, as did his wife, Rodale Institute senior manager Chloe Hayden Nouvelle ($6,600) and Northampton Memorial Shrine owner Guy Saxton ($6,600). His father, Wells Fargo financial advisor Charles Mackenzie, donated $6,591.02, while retiree Janis Thomas ($5,341.02) and Kay Builders owner Richard Koze Jr. ($4,000) each chipped in at least $4,000.
“I am grateful for all the donations and support I’ve received to date. It’s clear that the people of the 7th congressional district want proven leaders who do what they say in the United States House of Representatives and I look forward to defeating Susan Wild in 2024,” said Mackenzie.
Montero, an associate attorney with Haggerty, Goldberg, Schleifer & Kupersmith, raised $100,773.36 during the three-month period and sports just under half of Mackenzie’s bankroll at $64,717.31. Silberline Manufacturing executive Lisa Scheller, who ran an unsuccessful bid for the seat in 2022, contributed the maximum of $6,600. Retirees John and Sandra Lovett matched that gift, as have PennCap properties PA executive Lisa Pektor and Ashley Development executive Louis Pektor. Saxton & Stump attorney Andrew Reilly added $4,500 to the Montero coffers. The Duane Morris Government Committee also tossed in $2,500.
Dellicker, founder and owner of a technology services company who lost in the 2022 GOP primary to Scheller, raised $66,650.93 and has $55,304.84 on hand. He is receiving maximum support from his parents – Willard and Trudie ($6,400), as well as Camp Freedom Inc. president Bill Bachenberg ($3,300). Duel Temp Co. CEO David Noel has contributed $3,300, while retirees Glenn Smith ($3,300), Sally Smith ($3,300) and Lise Hertzog ($3,000) have also donated $3K-plus.
The fourth candidate – Allen Issa – filed his statement of candidacy on September 15 and was not required to file a campaign finance report this quarter.
Wild, the Democratic incumbent, raised $442,451.57 during the last quarter and has $1,105,660.22 in the bank.
The 7th Congressional District includes all of Carbon, Lehigh, and Northampton Counties and part of Monroe County.

Susan Wild wins by landslide. LOL. MAGA GOP cries itself to sleep. Again.
Susan Wild is a steady, reliable and moderate Representative who has accomplished a lot in D.C. She speaks for all the residents in her district; she is not a ‘partisan’ politician. I fully support her re election. She will run on her record, against candidates who can only run on promises.
…except one actually has a voting record longer than Wild’s. Derp.
