1. Montco, the Commonwealth Attorneys Act says that the First Deputy automatically becomes the AG in this situation. Wolf could appoint someone, but why would he for the remaining months of this year?

   And why are you so excited about Shapiro, a guy with far less experience than even Kathleen Kane? Political ambition, which is all that Shapiro lives for, is what got us into this mess. Not to mention the amazing number of corrupt Democrats in this state.

16. Hey Murph, time to accept the reality that the rest of us live in: she’s guilty and going to prison. In order to reverse, she would have to have an appealable decision by the trial judge. What decision would she appeal? The decision to prohibit the introduction of completely irrelevant porn emails that would in no way excuse her deliberate leak of grand jury materials, let alone her lying about it all under oath?     I’ve been following your comments for years now after finding someone who disliked Joe Sestak as much as I did. I appreciate your fight and stubbornness, but you’re on the wrong side on Kane.

    The text messages are what sunk her as Occam’s Razor applies. The most logical explanation based on all the evidence out there (circumstantial as it is) is that she leaked the info. This is no surprise, as leaking is most definitely de rigueur in PA, but she just happened to get caught and then did the worst thing you can do, she lied about it. The cover up is always worse than the crime.

    Which is a bummer, as she was actually doing her part to clean up PA, but it’s suicidal to try to clean up PA politics unless you are absolutely, 100% pristinely clean yourself. Everyone needs to take their lumps and move on.

    I haven’t “distanced” myself from anything. I have ALWAYS maintained this this prosecution was political and illegitimate (regardless of any verdict). I STILL think the charges are trumped up bs. That hasn’t changed. Kane got railroaded.
