1.   Dems Lead by Six Points in Battleground Districts in New CPR Poll

Elephant Donkey1

“For Republican candidates running in competitive House districts, The Cook Political Report’s Battleground District Project is a flashing red warning light for the fall.

In an exclusive poll of districts rated by The Cook Political Report as Toss Up, Lean Republican or Lean Democrat — districts which President Donald Trump won by an average of two points in 2024 — Democrats hold a six-point advantage on the generic congressional ballot, 50% to 44%.

If that advantage were to hold come November, any district Trump carried by 10 points or less could be in significant danger of flipping into Democratic hands.” | Cook Political Report

2.  State Senate Passes Bill To Protect Fairness In Women’s Sports

Senate GOP Fairness Womens Sports

“By a 30-17 vote, the Pennsylvania State Senate passed S.B. 1293 that provides for sport activities in public institutions of higher education and public school entities to be expressly designated male, female or coed; and creating causes of action for harm suffered by designation.

The legislation, sponsored by Sen. Judy Ward, would require public schools and colleges to label sports teams as male, female or coed. The legislation states only biological females can join teams designated for women. The bill would also allow students to take legal action if they are harmed by violations of this rule.” | PoliticsPA
