Trump Targets Corman and Argall Over 2020 Election Review

Former President Donald Trump continues his quest to call his 2020 defeat into question.

On Monday afternoon, Trump issued a statement re-upping his calls for Pennsylvania to commission an “audit” of the state’s results in the 2020 presidential election, while also singling out two Senate GOP leaders in the process and accusing them of being “Radical Left Democrat.”

“Why is State Senator Jake Corman of Pennsylvania fighting so hard that there not be a Forensic Audit of the 2020 Presidential Election Scam? Corman is fighting as though he were a Radical Left Democrat, saying that a Forensic Audit of Pennsylvania not take place. Why is Senator David Argall playing the same game? Are they stupid, corrupt, or naive? What is going on? Other State Senators want this Forensic Audit to take place—immediately. I feel certain that if Corman continues along this path of resistance, with its lack of transparency, he will be primaried and lose by big numbers. What went on in Philadelphia and other areas of the State must be properly and legally exposed. If it is not, just like with open Borders, we won’t have a Country anymore!” Trump wrote.

This statement comes exactly 10 days after Trump made his initial call for Pennsylvania Republicans to conduct an audit, like their counterparts in Maricopa County, Arizona. That process has been characterized by nonpartisan election experts – and even some local GOP officials – as haphazard and misleading. Trump issued his initial statement just a few days after three GOP state lawmakers visited Arizona, and also called for auditing the results in the Keystone State.

Argall and Corman have not issued statements supporting an audit, while some GOP state Senators are backing Trump’s push, including state Sen. Doug Mastriano (R-Franklin), who is weighing a run for Governor.

Philadelphia GOP City Commissioner Al Schmidt sent out a tweet on Monday afternoon pushing back on Trump’s claims, saying that the election in Philadelphia “was the most transparent and secure election in history,” and added that “it was already audited. Twice.”

Trump has issued multiple public statements regarding the outcome of the 2020 presidential election since he lost the state to Joe Biden in 2020 by just over 1 point.

In December, Trump sent out a tweet thanking House Speaker Bryan Cutler (R-Lancaster) and falsely accused corruption in the outcome of the Pennsylvania election results.

The Pennsylvania Democratic and Republican Party’s have not issued statements yet regarding Trump’s latest calls for an audit.

  1. Trump will be in jail for the 2022 election cycle. All the traitors, cowards, and sycophants betraying Democracy to curry Trump’s favor will be left high and dry as MAGA collapses.

  2. Currently, Donald the Traitor Trump is nothing….. NOTHING. He has no authority over any members of the Pennsylvania Legislature. He is not a citizen of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and there is no legal mechanism for that orange idiot to have this audit done in any case.

Anyone who is following the criminal traitor at this point is a guilty enemy of the state and should be treated as such….. A TRAITOR.

  3. My understanding is that Sen. Argall is on-board for a forensic audit; didn’t see Sen. Corman @ PLC, so couldn’t probe his viewpoint.

Philadelphia City Commissioner Chair admitted deviations from precedent due to “health and safety” considerations, per sworn testimony to Senate “State Government” Committee.

It appears the Senate can invoke subpoena power [unlike House] to emulate Maracopa.
