Pennsylvanians for Responsible Government (PRG) are launching a new ad campaign and website pushing for the House and Senate to vote against the legalization of video gaming terminals (VGTs).
PRG are launching a television ad and a website calling on people to call their legislators to tell them to vote against VGT legalization.
“Pennsylvanians for Responsible Governments’ comprehensive campaign will ask residents to contact their legislators by calling 1-833-END-VGTS and telling their State Representative to oppose VGTs,” PRG spokesman Mike Barley said in a release.
PRG is running the ads across the state, and will run the ads for as long as the debate on VGTs makes it necessary in their view.
The group is backed by the Las Vegas Sands Corporation among other casino groups in Pennsylvania who have been working to keep VGTs from becoming legal.

Let’s go PA legislators…show you have the courage to stand up against huge casino money, enact VGT’s
Where was the push back years ago when this type of gambling proliferated until the locals under pressure did a periodic crackdown? State just wants a piece of the action because the lawmakers are bereft of ideas.
There will be no VGTs. I need my money from DeNaples.
I smell fear in the air. If vgts go into the bars the state and not the casinos will count the $. Not only will it be competition for the casinos, it will indicate a true amount that is currently being taken but not fully divulged by some of the casinos. Why would the state ever want to give the taxpayers a fair count? That’s not why they were elected.
