Former Senator and Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum has announced the endorsement of Congressman Lou Barletta for his 2016 presidential campaign.
“I am proud to endorse Rick Santorum for President. Senator Santorum is one of our nation’s most passionate and effective voices for hardworking American families. He understands that we need policies in Washington that put the American worker first, not big government or big money,” said Barletta. “I am looking forward to working with the Santorum campaign.”
Both Barletta and Santorum have made pro-worker immigration policies one of their top priorities. Santorum is also the only 2016 Republican presidential candidate that has received an “A” rating from NumbersUSA.
“I am honored to receive Congressman Barletta’s endorsement today. Congressman Barletta has been a tireless advocate for American workers,” thanked Santorum. “He understands that our nation’s immigration system must prioritize American interests first and foremost and that we cannot adopt that amnesty policies this Administration and Hillary Clinton advocate.”
He continued, “I am excited to work with Congressman Barletta to help take back America!”
Rep. Barletta is the first elected official to pronounce his support for Santorum’s campaign.

Barletta is a fringe politician
I had thought rather well of Barletta, observing him from this distance. Now, I think he’s a moonbeam.
Santorum’s got another thing coming if he thinks this “worker-first” populist stuff he’s spewing will divert attention from his backwards, hard-right social positions (read: homophobia).
…and nobody INSIDE PA takes him seriously anymore.
Dumb move by Barletta. Santorum has no chance. Nobody outside PA takes him seriously anymore.
Just what we need, another ultraconservative loser as a presidential hopeful.
As if we needed another reason to think Congressman Barletta was a prick. Add homophobia to the list.
“pro-worker immigration policies”
That’s certainly a new euphemism.
Please, Santorum is pathetic. Nothing like backing a no chance candidate. He lost his Senate seat because he lost touch with the people. Mickey mouse would be a better candidate.
