The race for the three available seats on the state Supreme Court is set to get into gear.
The 14th Ward Democratic Committee in Pittsburgh announced they will be holding the first forum between the declared Democratic primary candidates on January 25th.
The six candidates who will participate are: Superior Court Judge Christine Donohue, Philadelphia County Common Pleas Court Judge Kevin Dougherty, Jefferson County Common Pleas Court Judge John Foradora, Superior Court Judge Anne Lazarus, Superior Court Judge David Wecht and Allegheny County Common Pleas Court Judge Dwayne Woodruff.
The forum will take place in the Eddy Theater on the campus of Chatham University.
“With three open seats on the state Supreme Court, this election will have a significant and far-reaching impact on the laws that affect Pennsylvanians for years to come,” said 14th Ward Democratic Committee Chair Sam Hens-Greco. “We hope that the January Forum will provide an opportunity for Democratic voters to meet and learn more about this exceptional field of Democratic candidates and will also encourage voters to become more involved in this election.”
The event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 1 and the forum begins at 2. It is being co-sponsored by the 14th Ward Democratic Committee, the 14th Ward Independent Democratic Club, the Shadyside Dems and the Steel City Stonewall Democrats.

You are overlooking the T. Please like the Penn Ag Dems Facebook page. They are having the first Supreme Court Forum. They always have each year’s campaign kick off event, at their Farm Show Luncheon, and PCN always covers it. This year’s date is 1/10, program starts at noon, Farm Show Complex VIP Room.
